ProtectMarriage.com has three primary programs that support our efforts. These include the Proposition 8 Legal Defense Fund, the ProtectMarriage.com Action Fund, and the ProtectMarriage.com Education Fund.
The Proposition 8 Legal Defense Fund supports our top-notch legal team which is currently defending Proposition 8 in the Perry v. Schwarzenegger trial in the Federal Court. Our opponents enjoy the financial largesse of wealthy same-sex marriage activists and often benefit from taxpayer-funded legal services from public entities such as the City and County of San Francisco. As the only organization defending Proposition 8 in the courts, we have had to rely on the generosity of individual supporters of traditional marriage. The ProtectMarriage.com Educational Foundation supports the academic research which demonstrates what we already know: that children raised in the embrace of traditional marriage have the best chance to lead happy and productive lives, and that the next generation of society benefits from children raised in a home with both a mom and a dad.
Finally, the ProtectMarriage.com Action Fund supports our efforts to increase our outreach to Californians across all walks of life, young and old, married and single, and across all ethnic lines, to explain the critical importance of maintaining traditional marriage.
